That is, I know that level designer in charge of the Police Station requested that we write a specific overheard conversation relating to Robocop, but his request might have come after several of us had already come up with ways to include subtle references to the film in the game. The great thing about working in games, and on Deus Ex: Human Revolution in particular, is that it’s a true collaborative effort. One person’s ideas spur another person’s, and in the end you really don’t know which idea was whose.”
